Hi, I am having an issue with my forum.

I can access it with or without www before the domain name, my problem is, when it changes i have to login again.

Example:

i access using www.mydomain.com, in a post i have a link to mydomain.com/postname. It doesn't work, I need to login again.

Why does it happens? I there a fix for this thing?

thanks

Thats basically because the cookie is set for the 'website' (www.domain.com and domain.com are classed as different 'websites'), www being simply a subdomain. Thats just the way the web works

You could try setting the "domain" for the cookie, for example like this.
You will need to apply it to anywhere that sets (or changes) cookies on the site.

Or if you have URL Rewriting available on your server you can restrict access to only one "website" (ie pick WWW or Non-WWW as your "website") and use this to redirect the other to it.
Note, this link uses "Non-WWW" as the "website".

If you fill out a support ticket we can look at setting up a non-www to www redirect for your website.
