This is most probably a really basic question but as it's been a really busy week so far and it's only Tuesday... I'll go ahead and ask it anyway.

I have an SQL Server database on mssql2 in which I have created a column of type 'datetime' - the default binding is set to GETDATE() but when I add a record allowing the default date to be added, the date is formatted in the US style mm-dd-yyy.

I have tried setting the Session.LCID to 1033 and 2057 in turns (after closing the session) but nothing I seem to do has the slightest effect.

Can anyone please enlighten me while I still have some hair left!

All our servers are setup with the UK locale as default with dates in the format of dd-mm-yyyy.

Where are you seeing this incorrect date format? Is it when you try and have the dates viewable in an HTML webpage?

If you create a support ticket on this giving more fuller details such as database details and the URL of were the dates are not being displayed correctly we can have a look for you to see where the problem is.
