Can not place images with Internet Explorer 11.

Nor can in this forum.

It gives an error and says in a popup window:

"Error inserting object in current location"

Can not insert images (RTE_popup_adv_image.asp) and files (RTE_popup_file_atch.asp) and movie (RTE_popup_movie.asp). I suppose that all popup have the same problem.

We are not able to replicate this issue in the lab.

Make sure that the cursor is within te Rich Text Editing Area before clicking on the inset button.

The issue has now been replicated in the lab.

Depending on your IE security settings 'window.opener' can be null for the pop up windows that insert images, text, etc. in to the Rich Text Editor.

Alternatives are being looked at but for the moment lowering IE 11's security settings can allow the Rich Text Editor to function as expected.

You need to add the forums website to Compatibility View Settings in IE 11.

In IE 11 go to Tools and select the option for 'Compatibility View Settings' and then add the website the forum is running on to the list. This will allow the Rich Text Editor to run in IE 11.

Over 20 hours development time has been spent so far trying to resolve this issue. It appears though that the changes to IE 11 have broken most Rich Text Editors with no one finding a solution to the issue so far.
