Chat button on my front end pages.

Hello everyone,

I have a chat with other members button on my front end pages of my website.  The button is using the java script code when a member is logged in.  When I tested it out it pulled up the window with a database error, I was hoping it would point me to the login page.  I also tested this while in the forum directory and it come up with the same result.

The question is there a way I can check to see if your logged in before the java code is executed?  If your not logged in it will redirect you to the login page.  If you are then it loads as normal.
