Just updated to 11.04   all works just great  everyone can post now as far as I can tell  but had some members ask where did the   Quick Login go to  ?   If it is no longer available no big deal   Also on login the agree to forum rules is allways there  ?

The agree to rules was added in version 10.11 back in 2012, and I think the quick login was removed at the same time so as to force the user to agree to the rules.  WebWiz seems to interpret European and US laws to require this.  I'm sure that lawyers can discuss for years whether that is correct or not...

If you know a little HTML, it is very simple to change the accept rules to default to yes.  I did that, and while I was at it, I also changed "remember me" to default to no (some users will forget that to uncheck it when they use a public computer).  If you like, I can send you the patched file.

I just looked at the changelog for 10.10, and it seems that quick login is only disabled if you have EU cookies set to yes.  It's the forum's way of ascertaining that the user accepts cookies before they are used.

(Note that this is probably a misunderstanding of the cookie directive.  The cookie directive does not require permission for cookies, it requires permission for tracking the user.)

I saw that about the EU cookies but mine was allready set to no   so something else must have changed later  to delete the quick login

The quick login was removed in 10.10 beta which was released back in 2011.

The Quick Login on the homepage was removed due to performance impacts and issues with it working with security updates to patch a vulnerability with Cross Site Forgery Requests (XSFR).
