Hello,

I have a copy of youre WebWiz Forum installed on a Windows 2003 WebEditon with IIS 6.0 and an ASPEmail compnent running on the background

I have "Email Activation of Membership" enabled, now when someone tries to register, fill in the registration form, and click register this error pops up:

Persits.MailSender.4 error '800a0002'

Winsock error 11004 (0x2AFC) occurred.

/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 269

Is there someone who has any why this is?

It could be that the AspEmail component does not work with Windows 2003.

Windows 2003 does have CDONTS and CDOSYS, both of which have been tested with Windows 2003 and do work.

I tried to use CDONTS, and i dont get an error but the mail stays in C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue  and the wont get out

Make sure the SMTP service is running.

My SMTP Service (in IIS) is running...

do i have to configure something at the SMTP Service or are the default settings good?

i didn't use it in my both Chinese forum and English forum.
