I think that a next thing to work on should be some kind of chat application with asp. One idea is that you could somehow tie it in with the Forums, like where you can have it displayed in the Forums and also to where you can just have it linked and members have to sign in with their Forum user name. It would make it more of a community. Just a suggestion, but I am definitely in need of a good chat room and that would be awesome for my members to not have to sign up for another thing.

(I wouldn't say that system resources is an issue. Traffic between the users and database would be a factor due to constant refreshes to imitate a real-time environment in ASP)

BecauseOfChrist, Download one of the millions of chat applications from the net.

When it comes down to it, this is a forum. Its not a 'real-time' environment and a chat facility is far too abstract from this purpose.

For an effective chat application, you need some type of applet to provide real-time communication. Native ASP can't do this.

Cheers,
Andrew
