Displaying Images in message body

Ok, I've searched the forums here, and found some helpful information, but my problem is this. I can upload images just fine through a post, I can also see that they are on my server, however when posting the message, the image does not show up in the message body. I'm sure I'm missing something here, and relatively new to this, so any help would be appreciated. Using aspSmartUpload on the server, or at least this is what I'm able to upload images with. Is there some way to link the code to the newly uploaded image? or is this already done in the coding? Thanks all in advance for your help. Version 7.01. Also, when I upload the file, I get the normal window saying "please wait, etc, etc.", however, that window never goes away or changes, I always have to close it.

I would guess that is part of the problem, there is no link. How are my users supposed to know the link to the image on the server? I thought that this script would automatically generate the script and post the image into the message after it was uploaded.

From my understanding, this is an incorporated part of the forum. Please correct me if I am wrong. Quote from the admin section:

"Upload Images in Posts:
Only enable this function if you have first setup the upload configuration, if your web space supports it."

Upload Images in Posts: -  Am I incorrect that this means also attaching the image in the post?
