Save me before my forum shuts down

To The Technical Support Group

I am writing this email to ask for your help to find me solution to the problem I have.

The problem is: My forum’s version is Web Wiz Forums 3 version 7.0 beta and it operates on access data base. As far as I know it can load only 65000 Row approximately.

At the moment, I have about 40000 posts in the forum and probably in two months they will reach 65000 posts, which means 65000 Row!!

So what can I do in this situation?

Should I change the access data base to SQL? Or there is another way of solving the problem?

I’m a bit concerned that if I convert the posts to SQL, some codes might only works with the access data base.

If you see that the only way to solve this problem is converting the access data base to SQL, could you please tell me the way to convert it? Because I do not know how to convert the access data base to SQL.

Could you send me the solution to this problem as soon as possible?

Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks for all

Access can have more then 54k rows in it. The max table size for access is 1GB so you prob. have time to go thus as your forum seems to be failry busy you might want to consider upsizing anyway. Just create the forum db, tables and sprocs with the setup file and use the access upsizing wizard.

You have nothing to worry about, use the forum features to delete old post or compact and repair the database now and again to keep it trim.

I had an access version with well over 80,000 posts, and many more deleted without any trouble. But, a move to the SQL version is the way to go if you have a SQL database. Without question.
