how do i change latest topics showed?

Hi all,

If a person comes to the forum for the first time as a guest, default, he will see the topics from the last month. I want to change this so i can show default the topics of the last half yaer, how do i do that?

Not every forum is that popular, so i want show something so visitors see that the forum's not empty.
