Please help. Visitors to our site forum cant register, the following error appears

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'
Syntax error in query expression 'tbl .* OM tblSmut'.
/Forum/register.asp, line 530

We upgraded to 7.7 but even when we install earlier versions the same error appears.

it seam there are one space to delete after TBL

You have to write tbl.* and not tbl .*

not sure but tblsmut i think its bcuz something wrong with bad word filter

Sounds to me like the file maybe corrupted, try reuploading the file again.

The problem has returned. Also when trying to post a new topic the following error appears:

Looking at this error it looks a little strange, my guess is you have a corruption in either the database or a file. On the other hand it could be some more underlying problem with the server itself.

I unzipped a new download of the forum and uploaded it to a temp folder with no changes but still this problem exists. I then contacted our Hosting Company (whom I have had numerous problems with and will be changing soon) they say that the problem is with the code " 'tbl .* OM tblSmut' ."as this is not pointing to anywhere in the data base, I am out of my depth here but what I cant understand is why the forum has been working fine for 7 months and now even with a completely new forum with fresh data base it wont work.
