Is anybody out there?

Can you help?

What is the easiest way to capture video from a Panasonic NV-GS50 Camcorder?  The software that comes with it (DVSudio3) only will aquire still images from the video.  I need to get the whole video out so that I can edit it etc.  When I try with Roxio DVD creator I get a communication error with the Camcorder (Ie the Panasonic driver does not work with the Roxio - not surprising from Panasonic).  Any suggestions?

Cheers

Hmmm, Interesting one

I have been looking at something like this for one of our customers in our Computer Service dept.  Click links here that may help you...

Thanks guys.  You've been most helpful.  I've also found that I need to get the optional DV cable and software.  Well off to Panasonics web site now to go shopping.

Cheers

Yeah,

You need to use FireWire, or USB. Hopefully your cammera supports firewire.

I did this with my camera. JVC-500...unsure of exact model number...I'm at work.

I used Adobe Premier 6.5, and FireWire. The video is transfer, and saved as AVI. The I burn to CD in a VCD format. The it plays on my DVD.

USB is ok, but the image is degraded and is not very clear, due to transfer rate on USB.

but of the cam corder support usb2 then its ok bciz usb2 is faster than firewire and the image quality should not be degraded logically
