i got my web server (abyss) to support ASP and uploaded the forum files, but when i try to access the forum, i get this error

Application-defined or object-defined error
default.asp, line 1423
i downloaded the file MDAC from microsoft, and i installed it, but there was no configuration involved.
I am using ahtml as my CGI inturpreter for ASP. I configured abyss to use that, but it said that i didnt need to do anything withthe program.
I dont really know anything about ASP, and this is my first venture into it, so i am stumped. I have no idea what other program i might need or what i need to do.
I am willing to spend a lot of time trying different things to figure this out. I would appreciate any hep i can get.
