Category Tree (extra levels)

I'm just wondering if the next version will support a multi-level category tree...?

At the moment, there is only 1 level (Categories).
Many more complex forums require more than just 1 level (my own site included).

is a great article on creating trees in SQL.
I have used this method myself in an ASP/SQL CMS I am building for a client, and it is very powerful, and also makes permissions easier to manage down the levels.

I'd be interested to also hear about the next version and what you have planned.
There are many great mods here, but I am hesitant to install any, as the next version could very well overwrite them...

Actually no.

I mean where you can have sub-categories multiple levels deep.
Instead of just 1 level of categories like you have here.

I may want....

[ GENERAL ]
-- Chat
[ GAMES ]
-- [ RPG ]
-- -- -- RPG Game1
-- -- -- RPG Game2
-- [ STRATEGY ]
-- -- -- Strategy game1
etc...
