my email and pm notify does’t work

Without more detail it is impossible to tell what is wrong.

Do you get an error?
Have you checked with your hosting company as to teh correct details and also checked their SMTP servers are running OK?

Check the settings with your host, you may find you can only send mail to local email address.

Every web host sets up their servers differently to prevent things like spammers abiusing their servers.

You need to contact your hosting company and ask them what settings you need, if they require athentication, what email component they support, the SMTP server address, etc. Try a different email component if they support more than one.

Also other things maybe course problems, if their SMTP server has a problem then email may not be relayed on, it maybe over loaded and there is a queue meaning a delay in the email being relayed.
