Calendar

To add events to the calendar you need to set permissions on forums for members to enter Topics as calendar events.

Once you have permissions to post calendar events when you create a new topic in a forum you can select to enter the Topic as a calendar event by setting the date of the event.

This is done in this way to more tightly integrate the Calendar System into the forum rather than the almost standalone Calendar Systems other forums have but are hardly ever used.

By actually having the Calendar System so tightly integrated not only does it allow better performance by only requiring only 1 extra field in the database, but also should encourage more members to enter events.
