Hello,
I experimented a lot with topics creation/deletion, still got rare errors like:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.
Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_save_new_post_data
File Name:- new_post.asp
Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.

It happen rarely when we add new topic with several pictures inserted - when some pictures uploaded, but not inserted...etc. I can't describe reproduce way yet

After experiments, I see 3 topics count in Forum (not subforum), but actually we have only one topic inside. When I tried to re-sync counts through Admin panel - nothing happened
Probably there others ways to re-sync counters?

Thanks!

Because for database performance the field that holds the names of uploaded files and images can only hold 255 characters it means that if files/images uploaded with long file names only 6 can be uploaded in any one post.

There should be code to prevent the error, but would mean that not all images/files would be included in the post.

It was decided that 6 image/file uploads would be sufficient for 99% of posts that had file/image uploads.

Thank you Bruce. I think errors happened with 2 files only, each 20-30 chars length

What do you think about re-sync issue? Is there method to force automatic sync or perform manual sync?
Thanks!

Thanks! It will be great to re-sync by topics...

But what we can do if re-sync don't work now? It's not a problem to run re-sync against whole board, but it don't work in specific case...
Probably we may fix it in DB manually?
Thanks!

The function in the admin section will only work for the forum index, not for individual topics.
