Ok I think this is a killer app but I lack the skills to pull it off. "Chat room on roids". The idea is a chat room that records and post the contents for the day! Lets say someone enters the chat room at 00:01 am and strikes up a converstation. The chat works in the normal way but the conversation is posted to a topic which is created automatically. The topic would be created in a special chat forum and named by date. Every chat session until 23:59 that same day would be appended to this same topic. A new day starts a new topic so named and placed in the chat forum. Kinda of a hybrid Chat+Forum+Blog=Chaforlog.
Some users like to chat while others like to lurk. A chat room can cut down on the forum post. When the post are cut down less information is exchanged and the power of the forum is partly lost. If the chat is recorded and posted in forum format the lurkers can share in the information thus filling the needs of the chatter and the lurker.
Might sound crazy but I think it would be very good. Now we just need some smart person to pull it off.

Yeah, nice one..
-boRg- you are very skilled person :), so why we don't create a chat "web wiz chat" by collecting people suggestions and ideas, just like what have done for version 8...
Here Some chat suggested features:
Multiple rooms, Different member level (1-10 or 1-15), assign commands per user (kick, ban, unban, view logs, command help per member level, upgrade/downgrade user, online users, spy, etc), private messages, private rooms, bad words filters, announcements/memo board, member private message log, IP mask per user, font color per user, support multiple languages, Trace IP, offline login for admin, login/logout announcements per guest and chat members, flood protection,

Oooops! I did not mean to make a request of the man himself. I am sure he has plenty on his plate. I was thinking that one of the other gifted coders might take it on if not a project group.
I think in terms of process and chat room seems seem like waste of good information. Hate that! Has anyone done a stable chat room for WWF?

Maddog had a very good chatroom mod for WWF v.7x but not for V8 (as far as i know)

MadDog we have a small user group but they are pretty chatty. If you need help testing just let me know. We will gladly be ginnie pigs.
