Hello,

WWF 7.8 was setup using the upload feature Persits AspUpload.  The application worked without any problems until the 30 day trial expired.  Now if I try any other upload component Dundas, SA FileUp, aspSmartUpload, or AspSimpleUpload they all produce the same results.  With Win XP Pro the error is as follows:

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/files/forum/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 234

Invalid class string

 

It seems that the DLL’s are being registered. 
Please point me in the right direction.

The error means that the component you are trying to use is not installed on the web server.

Check with the documentation that the component is installed correctly and that you have selected the correct component from the forums admin area.

It seems that Persits AspUpload was the only application that installed  correctly with Microsoft's Personal Web Server.  Dundas indicates it is not tested on this platform.  Is there a free component that will work on this configuration?
