I now have a big problem with my forum since I adjusted the number of topics and posts per page. Even after putting them back to where they were.

IE6 only shows half the message and I cannot find a way to reset this, even after uploading the whole forum again. All visitors using IE6 have the same problem.  It works fine with Netscape, Firefox and Opera.

I am very confusedConfused and need help!

I have had a look at your site and this is extremely odd, the only thing I can think of suggesting at the moment is that you try reuploading the original files again and see if that fixes the issue.

I am not sure what happened to the IE6 bit but I have managed to fix it in an odd approach.

Yesterday I tried uploading by backup which I save every other day when things are working ok. This did not change anything and the problem still existed.

I uploaded the original files from the Webwiz forums zip file but did not do a new install. I tried to access the forum but it couldnt, so I then transferred my backup again on top thinking at least I will have the forum back.

When I went into the forum with IE6 everything was ok!

The only thing I can pin it down to was maybe an original file had gone from my forum so uploading this then the save must have put all back in working order.

Anyway I am pleased I am back on trackBig smile

I have found the problem, if you modify Web Wiz Forums to not include the XHTML DTD declaration in the head of the page IE 6 doesn't render the page correctly.

Make sure you have the following in the top of your page:-

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

This should be set in the file 'include/browser_page_encoding_inc.asp'
