Hi
 
my forum is running with NT authentication facility. when a user is trying to update his/her profile by selecting one of the avilable avatar images, the following error appears
 
 
Error
Only members with sufficient permission can access this page.

A security error has occurred with authentication.

Please ensure that all cookies are enabled on your web browser, you are not using a saved or cached copy of the page, and your Firewall/Proxy settings are not hiding or masking your IP address.
 
 
i have tired this issue with different users and am getting the same error

I shall look into this issue.

Does it only occur when changing the avatar, or when other options are also changed on the profile page?

no even chaning the fonts or other options.

This is on the 'to do' list to be looked into, so that a fix can be found for the next release.

At the moment I can see no reason why you would get this error, and it maybe worth re-uploading the files incase you have a corrupted file.

I have had a chance to look into this at the weekend, and it seems, after hours of trolling through ASP code that it is actually a problem with the javascript failing to run.

In register.asp around line 1341 you will find the following line:-

If intUpdatePartNumber = 0 OR intUpdatePartNumber = 1 Then

Change it to:-

If (intUpdatePartNumber = 0 OR intUpdatePartNumber = 1) AND blnWindowsAuthentication = False Then

This will clear up the javascript error and fix the permissions error you are getting.
