I'd like to add recurring items to the calendar.  For instance, every Saturday @ 4pm, starting on 5/27.  This could be implemented on the message post, next to the date.  Put a check-box for "recurring".  If it's checked, reveal some more features for how often it recurs (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, annually).

I did ask at the time the calendar was being developed for feedback if people wanted this, but I got no feedback at all on this, so figured people were not interested in this type of functionality.

To add this type of functionality now would require a completely new database schema, and as the database schema is only changed for major versions this type of new functionality would need to wait for version 9.

I did place quite a number of posts asking for feedback on this in this forum, and even made it an announcement for a while, and it had many 100's of views but no-one gave there opinions.

Version 8 took 2 years to develop and test, so I wouldn't hope for version 9 to be any time soon.

Big smile i remember bein the first to ask about Version 8 (durin the developement of Version 7)

i think MadDog got to be first to ask when Version 10 was out

i do remember that there was no Version 8 and it would be .net
i think the latest is that borg plans to have a classic asp and .net too

if this is true, i think .net v1 would be out before classic asp v9

I know it may not be possible until V9; however, I'd like to register my interest in this feature as well. I didn't realise it until I downloaded V8 to my own site and used it from an administrator's perspective.
 
The WWF is the best available IMO.
