Bruce,

It seems that the lines:

'Forum version

Const strVersion = "8.02"

are missing from the setup_options_inc.asp file in the Access and MS-SQL downloads for v8.02.

It's still there it's just been moved to the file called 'include/version_inc.asp'

This has been done to make updating easier, so that if you have changed some configuration options in the setup_options_inc.asp file you don't have to redo the file every time you update the forum.

You may want to mention that common.asp has been updated and that version_inc.asp is a new file in the version history text file. It will probably save you some support questions in the future.

It is listed in the version history file:-

47. includes/version_inc.asp - new file to hold the version number
48. includes/setup_options.asp - removed version number from the file so that when a new version comes out it doesn't mess with any customised setup options that the user has applied
49. admin_common.asp - links to new version_inc.asp file
50. common.asp - same as above

Those changes are not listed in the versions history file from yesterday's download. I'm going to re-download the forum and see if it's there now.

Update: I just downloaded the forum again and did not see the changes in  the version history file included with the download.

I must be losing my mind - I just downloaded 8.02 and the included version history only lists 31 changes from 8.01-8.02.

There should be 71 changes listed in the Version History file.

I'll check it is correct in the download and upload the updated version history file.

The problem comes from working in multiple locations as I have no Internet access at home on my laptop where I do most of the programming.

However, now I have moved to a new office and set up a central Windows 2003 small business server to centrally store all the files on for both office and remote working it should sortout this problem.
