I'm not sure if this is possible or not. I'm using the latest version of WWF. I would like to create a group that has Admin rights to a specific category. This way they can create their own forums and sub-forums within the category as well as other functions of a moderator, but have no admin functions outside of that category. The moderator group does not have sufficient permissions to do this (unless I set things up improperly) and the admin group has too much permissions for what I am trying to achieve.

This is not possible without giving the user full admin rights.

Such an admin system has never even been considered as you are the first person in 5 years to ask for such a system and would take quite allot of work to build and test securely and properly.

Thats what I thought, but I figured I should ask as there are better heads here than me and maybe I was missing something. Thanks anyway and keep up the good work.

What about a lesser moderator? I'd like to give some people moderator capabilities on the forum, but I don't want them to have the ability to change user profile information.

Has anyone made that change? Maybe this should be posted in the MOD's section?

You can do this in the latest version in the includes/setup_options.asp file if you edit it in notepad.

Somewhere in that file I set a variable that can be changed so that moderators can not edit profiles.
