I have a forum I have locked as only admins will be posting in the forum with attachments for users to download.  I create my topic and upload the file but it doesn't show in the posting.  I have looked through the admin settings and I can't figure out why this is occurring.
 
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The upload folder needs to be a sub folder from the forum, if not IE's built in RTE API tends to incorrectly re-write links to uploaded files or images after the upload has taken place.

It is.  I have my upload folder as a subfolder called "uploads."

What else could be the problem?

Are the files actually being uploaded, and what do you have as the upload file path in the admin area?

Yes they are.  I can see them when I ftp to the server and look in the folder.
 
The upload path states uploads

I still realy need more details to try and get a picture of what is happening.

You say the upload is not appearing in the post, is this before or after you have submitted your post.

Also have you tried re-uploading the files again to see if that solves the issue?
