I have the site up for a while, and the images were uploading fine.  But today, I tried to upload an image and I got this error -

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 80

I am sure something changed on my webshoting site - however, I am not sure what changed.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Looks like they may have changed the permissions on the uploads folder or similar. Contact them and ask them to give you write/read permissions
Handyman man?

I used to have this problem in Ver 8.01 and this problem persists in ver 8.05.

When I have successfully uploaded the picture, it is stored in a temp folder under the 'uploads' folder. You will be able to see the picture immediately after posting the message but this is only half the story.

This where the problem lies -

If you refresh the page, you will notice that your posted picture becomes a blank because the picture that is stored in the temp folder will be automatically transferred into the /uploads folder. The posted message where the image is linked is still referring to it from the /uploads/temp folder. Ermm

I can edit the image link of course to ensure that the picture is visible but that will defeat the purpose of having the upload feature - I may as well image-link!

In the past, when you upload the image, it gets stored in a fixed folder and that's it. No issues - simple and effective. The added step to save it to the temp folder and then move it back to the 'uploads' folder is causing more problems.

Any solutions? comments?
