Hi, newbee to ASP requires help....I have created a hit counter but need to now know how to get that to appear on my web page which was developed in HTML. Know this maybe a silly question but any help would be appreciated.

Look at the Hit Counter example under the ASP Section of this site. It really depends on how you have created this though, generally you would have an inlcude file you just insert into your asp page using SSI's include statements. Something like <!# Include Virtual="/counter/mycounter.inc">

Probably going to answer my own question here, but Ive created a page called test.htm and want to put a hit counter on that, do I assume that I will need to rename the page to test.asp? As Ive said I am a newbee to ASP so please go gentle...
 
By the way the sample counter link doesnt seem to work for me?

In order to use an include statement, your page page needs to have an asp extension -- so yes, you will have to rename your page to test.asp
