I have been looking round the mod forum and have seen someone request this but it has not been done.. as far as i know. Is it possible to embed mpeg , avi and other video formats into topics like the flash videos? Thanks.

Freakyfred - I hadn't planned this as a mod to WWF, but I am working on a video upload/conversion script to upload videos using aspsmartupload/ffmpeg. It will convert avi's and mpg's to flv files. I would like to make it similar to the gallery plugin and hope I can find a way to integrate it into WWF without to many changes to the DB and pages. If anyone has any ideas PM me.

Kinda on the same topic, I've looked and not found anything on this but would love to be able to just add a Flash button to the RTE that drops the [ flash ] XXX [ /flash ] into the post for users like the bold, italics and link buttons do. Don't need/want to encode any video, just be able to lay the bed for users to drop in the embed URL from Google, YouTube a la the link/image button ...

Any help is much appreciated!

If it is turned on in the control panel, users may use the following code:

[FLASH WIDTH=50 HEIGHT=50]http://www.myWeb.com/flash.swf[/FLASH]

to embed videos.

I do like the idea of adding a button to the RTE.

I know it can be done with flash but would also like to do it with windows player & yes i agree having a button would be quality
