Topic: MOD: Multi Media Functions Posted: 23 April 2007 at 10:11pm |
This web wiz modification allows you to embed multi media files like MP3s and videos into a post just like flash movies.
Currently
this mod adds 2 new BBCodes to the forum, the first is [music] which
should be used to embed music files like MP3s and WMA. The second is
[movie] which should be used for movie files like MPEGs. To use this mod you need to turn on Flash in the control panel. the Read Me file will tell you how to do this. Once installed and setup you will be able to play MP3 files in posts by using the new BBCodes [MUSIC] and [MOVIE] Screenshot: For more information and to download this mod visit my website by following this link: Multi Media FunctionsNote: this mod will currently only work with Web Wiz Forum versions: 8.05 & 8.05a

Hi Scotty, first thank you so much for creating a mod like this. it really makes embedding multi media files on the forums very easy!
The mp3 files are loading fine for me but the videos don't seem to play at all. for some reason they are not loading. Any ideas?
I noticed the same thing on the test forum on your website.

umm if your not viewing the test on my site then it maybe that you dont have the Codec.
this kind of thing is near impossible to fully test as it'll change per file and per system. if a PC doesnt have the codec, it wont play the video.
but for me, and my system, my test post appears to work fine.

the videos i tested on my site do not load, but if i play them outside of the site, they load just fine. could that still be a codec problem?

Acemaker, this is for direct video files, not flash movies (like what google and youtube use) to embed youtube videos you will need to follow this tutorial on Add YouTube Videosthough it seems your doing it right, just need to use [flash] instead of [movie]
