Please Help.

when I was running V6.34 on SQL the active topics page worked fine.

now I have upgraded to V7.01 on SQL it doesnt work at all.

I have changed the Local ID to that of my server already but to no avail

Any ideas?

Make sure that you have setup your forums to have read access for all on them or they won't show in the active users table.

ah.

The thing is that my forums are set to only allow registered users to view posts. Guests have to register first.

is there any way to get around it? 

V6.34 worked ok I'm sure!!

any advice would be appreciated!!

right.

I have put the guest reading back to enable and the active topics has sprung to life.

few questions.

Is it possible to give the active users page rights to read the active topics?

if I enable guest reading that then insert my own check in the header.asp will this get round it? IE, if I put in something that checks the user level and if its guest it redirects elsewhere..... not fool proof but may help solve my problems!!

Use the group permisisons part to give the guest group no access to the forum from there, the active topics page will then work.
