Hello

I recently switched hosts (from 1planhost.com to godaddy.com)

Now, I am having two problems with my forum at www.CaribbeanMedForums.com:

1) When I try to login with my previous login ID it says:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/forum/login_user.asp, line 171

2) When I try to register as a new user it says:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/forum/register.asp, line 872

Please help, thank you!

Asad Raza

Opp's did you not do a search on here about GoDaddy before switching? They maybe cheap, but you get what you pay for and judging by the amount of issues people on this forum have with them I would be running the other way.

The problem you are having is you do not have the correct permissions setup to write to the database and you should contact GoDaddy support about this.

If you have not transferred across your site yet, it might not be to late to spend a few $$ more on a better host. You would be thankful in the long run.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Is there a host that you would recommend?

Both my previous hosts (1planhost.com, ehostpros.com) and now godaddy.com

have given me with a lot of problems and frustration.

Please advise
