The browser detection in v9b2 incorrectly identifies users running Safari 3.0.2 as IE7 users.

As a web developer, I try to run all the Windows browsers to ensure my sites render properly on all platforms. Safari gives me the closest thing I can get to a Mac without buying a Mac.

I also like to spy on my users to see what they're running on the forum

I'm afraid that you tested the forum in IE7 first, and within a few minutes you went ahead and tested it with a different browser. The time frame matters, the forum will still identify you with browser you used first untill after a few more minutes.... is what i think.

It does correctly identify users running Safari on both MAC and Windows.

However the active users data is cached and the OS and browsers details are only stored at the beginingof the active users session and are not updated.

To accurately identify your browser you would need to visit the forum again once your active users session has expired.

I've just tested in Safari and can confirm version 9 detected me as using:

Windows Vista Safari 3
