Hello
I'm old and hve not dealt much with forums in the past, I've created a small company forum and there are still 2 things I can't sort out.
We are running version 9.02 Premium Edition
 
Can I post either a streaming message or even a static message boc near the top of the forum where only admin or mod's can change the message?
 
If posting a hyperlink or any link to our intranet the page address appears, how do i post a link with only the "Link Title" showing.

First type the text for the link eg My Link

Then highlight the word and click on the Add URL button

Then type the URL in the URL windows that opens

This gives you a link like:-

My Link

the changing of a streaming/static message is a MOD you are wanting ,
 
you will have to check the MODS forum or place a request and see if anyone will do you one or details on it.

Great, thanks for your help, I’ve sorted the links and I’m now looking for a message MOD. Now I know what I’m looking for, this is to initially inform people of the newness of the forum and due improvements the look may change slightly at times

As the forum admin you can post an announcement to all forums, which can be seen across all forums at the top. If you then also lock the topic so normal users are unable to reply.

how to insert a video streaming in forum? wmv or wmx. Like msdn site video.
