    Posted: 25 September 2007 at 7:50pm
I want to read: Author_ID, Username, and Group_ID from the cookies on some other pages of my site. I don't want to re-include the common files each time for that.

I understand the cookies saved by the forums are for User_code. So it's should be read and formated for SQLinput then read the required records from table Author where the user_code = this code cookies...

But it's not working.  Any comment or help?!

Thanks in advance!!

ok, in other words, how can I request the cookies of the user_code without having the common.asp file included?!

I'm doing that cause i want the users of my forums to use the same login in other sections of the site....

why do you not want to use the common.asp file? this would be by far the easiest way of doing it.

ive got a tutorial on making Member-Only Pages if your interested.

Scotty32, thank you very much. I think this is what i was looking for.

Do you believe including common.asp file in folders outside the forum folder won't affect the forums?
