Error: The download of the specified resource has failed.
Any help would be great.
Thanks Confused

Make sure the link to the RSS Feed on your forum is correct.

You should also disable in the extras recent forum posts code the Time to Live (TTL) and set it to 0 so that any changes are immediate.

Thanks Bruce. Got it working now. Only thing is it does not show date posted even though it says so in the code. Only way I could get it to show was to uncomment  strHTML = strHTML & vbCrLf & "   <br />" &  sarryRSSFeedItem.childNodes(3).text & "<br /><br />"
And add 3 to the childnode. Also it will only display in the centre, can't get it to justify left. Which CSS rule does this use?
This is only in IE, not Firefox.
Thanks for your help

You may need to add the CSS class to the <tr> or <td> tag. IE can be very funny about this.

Thanks. Got it working at: http://www.justarrived-uk.com/ IE sucks.
Just one more thing. Is it posible to show just the last post added and not the last 2 or 3.
As you can see from the link above it shows the last 6 posts from Just Chat. I just want to show the last 1.
Thanks

The number displayed depends on how many posts are displayed in your RSS Feed. By default I thing this is set to 10.

To display just 1 you would either need to change this in the RSS Feed or remove the loop from the recent posts code.

Hi Bruce,

I tryed to link 10 recent post on my frontpage (I used "rss_topic_feed.asp"), and it works nice, but only in Internet Explorer 7 ?

Some of our employees still have IE6 installed, and they get error:

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error
and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

The stylesheet does not contain a document element. The
stylesheet may be empty, or it may not be a well-formed
XML document...

Not quite sure why you are using this file, if you want to display the 10 most recent posts on the homepage of your site use the code found in the file in the extras folder.
