Hi

We have an locked forum setup where Mods can discuss problems etc. Quite often the mods subscribe for email notifications to these threads. We have recently removed two mods from this locked forum - yet they still continue to receive the email notifications when a new post is added. Is this a bug or a configuration issue please?

Instead of locking the forum you should use the permission system within the admin area to decide which groups are allowed in this forum.

When email notifications are sent the forum checks to see if the user has permission to access that forum if they don't the email notification for that forum/topic is removed from the database and the member doesn't get the email notification.

You are also able to edit member profiles were you can edit which forums/topics the member is subscribed to.

You should also ensure that you are running the latest release incase a bug in an older version is coursing the permissions to not be correctly checked.

I'll revert to your method as above. We are running v9.08 and about to upgrade to 9.5.
