Hi,

I would like to buy version 9.53 but before that I have 2 questions:

1. I bought a link free version of 7.95 from you long back, which I am still using. Are there any discounts available for upgrades for old customers?

2. How easy (or difficult) would it be to upgrade from version 7.95 to 9.53. Will the software take care of it? Will I get guidelines how to go about the upgrade with the new license?

1. You would need to contact accounts www.webwiz.net/contact

2. If you download the latest free Express Edition inside you will find another zip file with database upgrade tools and instructions on how to use them. The database upgrade tool will upgrade your database to the latest version.

Thanks. I will write to the accounts dep.

But I do not want to use the express edition for upgradation as I believe it limits the PM to 5 only. That way the forum members will lose their PM's. Will the full version come with the db upgradation tools?

The only download available is the free Express Edition. You then enter your license key to unlock the additional features.

Your members would not loose any PM's during the upgrade as all information is retained in the database. The only thing you will need to do is reapply any permissions as version 8 introduced a new permissions system.

Hi Bruce,

I upgraded my forums successfully but unfortunately the discount code given by your a/c department didn't work and I am stuck. I cannot start the forum in express mode. I have written twice to you in last 24 hrs and am still waiting for a reply. If you happen to read this post before you read the mails, please reply to the email.
