Sorry that the lack of people wanting to convert to WWF does not satisfy you.

alabama toy,

MadDog is right; maybe you should ask the question differently or directly like: "How do I go about switching from a PHP-based forum to WWF (ASP)?" Bruce (the admin) has answered similar questions in the past and I'm sure you can find those posts by doing a search here.

The question was:
>>Anyone ever done a conversion or port from SMF ?<<

Two things possible -
1. no one has done it!
2. They have but they are not here right now, esp around the holidays in many countries.....

And with the question, you may get just one answer, since if I've not done it, I can't answer if "anyone" has done it. So logically, no one could answer unless the answer was yes. I can't say no and be accurate unless I've asked everyone and know already that no one has. Otherwise I might be fibbing.
If I have done it, my answer would be a straight "yes", end of message.

It's my understanding that there's a alot of differences between the structures, and even in versions so that may complicate things.......... I'd bet, if I had to guess, it's a lot of days worth of manual work.

Yes, it's been one of those days!!!!!!!!  LOL

We did it manually.  Troy at visiblepulse dot com made the conversion.  No its not easy, but we managed to get everything over to the new WWF except passwords and links to quoted posts (obviously those dont exist, and writing the conversion for that would be a major undertaking).
