hi there :
I ve been using iportalx for the last 2 years or so - its a commercial version that i had purchased from iportalx.net - and i also have a life time update.

Since iportalx is based on webwizforums - am i am thinking about moving to webwizforums - my question is must i purchase a fresh licence with webwiz or do i get a copy of one free - since i have a lifetime update with my present copy of iportalx?

Besides i would like to know how easy it would be to retain my data- should i intent to choose webwizforum?

IPortalx I believe uses Web Wiz Forums 7.9, so you should be able to upgrade the database to work with the latest version of Web Wiz Forums, but as never have done this can not guarantee that it would work, so I would suggest making a copy of the database and doing some test first.

If you wanted to use Web Wiz Forums Premium Edition 9.55 you would need to purchase a license for it as your present license is for IPortalx not for Web Wiz Forums. IPortalx does use our Web Wiz Forums engine as part of their Portal, but they are not related to our own company and your license would be for IPortalx through them and not for Web Wiz Forums.
