... and if they don't return or try to login because they didn't receive their activation email? In this case, resending the activation email would be a good way to prompt them that they now have access to the forum - this is what I was hoping for.
Essentially, for a short period of time there was an issue with the email server that sends the activation email and some of our memebers did not receive their activation email and haven't returned to the forum - perhaps they assumed the forums don't work? This is why I'd like to resend the activation emails, opposed to emailing each memeber individually, instructing them to attempt a logon only to be prompted to resend the activation email (which they'll probably assume they won't work).
