HI,
I'm new to the forum, so i'm sorry if i have posted this in the wrong section etc.
I currently use yahoo answers and i really would like a forum of my own that i would pay monthly, what i would also like though is a donate button on the site or/and a subscribe button. I currently have a paypal account (premier acc) and i see the code can be generated for the button.
If i paid for an hosting plan, could this feature be incorporated into the forum so i could receive donations? it would be a physics site.

Hi Paul_T To obtain forum hosting you can click here and it will show you the hosting options available at web wiz. I would suggest the paid for option, as then yes you could include a paypal donation button (in actual fact I did this as an option on several forums that people use) An example is hereWelcome by the way

Hi,
Thanks for replying, could webwiz add the button for me? and also add some physics style to the site etc (skin) etc?
Also can webwiz support Latex ( this is like a maths BB code)?

No, web wiz only supply the software. Buttons, skins etc are actual forum software modifications, in which case you should check the web wiz modifications topics for what modifications may be available. Most modifications have been designed "as is" and as such are usually free, depending on the circumstances and what may be required. However, since most of these modifications take time and effort by the relevant designers / coders, then it would not be unreasonable if they asked for some kind of payment, especially if someone wanted a specific styling

That would be ok to pay, i'd rather pay to get it right, but could the button feature be installed ? i don't want to mess about myself! also can webwiz support latex [math][/math] code etc? or can this be added?
[math] \textrm{Trig power : }\cos(i)^{ne} \neq \sin{(e)} [/math]
[math] \frac {x^2+5}{3x +1} [/math]

But also, you must check that the modifications in that topic thread are compatible with the latest forum software. The modified changes on my forum (it's just for amusement) are all tested with web wiz 9.69 which is the latest release, so at least I know they do work. As with any changes in the software, you have to ensure that:
1. The licence allows you to do this 2. You backup any files that you intend to change 3. Unless you are paying for some changes to be implemented, then mods (modifications) are at your own risk

You'd have to ask them as it would not be a standard thing. More often than not, it will be other people (sadly like myself), who could assist with modifications. Search the forums though as it may sound like I'm trying to flog you something I'm sure about the Latex BB Codes Your posts are still on moderation, as you are on new posting status, and I'm off for the nite. You can PM me if you do require further assistance at some time Nite nite
