How can either the topic starter or the admin close a poll without either deleting the topic or closing the thread as well?

I can't see where either person can do it.

thanks

I would assume that if there is no answer, then it possibly means that no one has an answer. Obviously you can lock the thread, but then that prevents any more posts in that thread. I guess that someone might be able to work out a way of locking just the poll, but it would mean modifying some files

Hi Derek

If you have bought and paid for the software you should open a support ticket. However, I think what I was trying to say, maybe not so eloquently, is that this type of closing the poll, as far as I know (and I've used the software many years now) is not written into the file coding. I'm sure the software designer will see this topic, and make his comments in due course.

The only way to prevent people voting in a Poll is for an admin or moderator to close the Poll Topic.

so you can't close the voting without preventing more comments on the vote... Seems a shame.

Thanks
