I have moved your post to the Web Wiz Forums Support Forums.

To find out what version you are running, use the 'Check fort Updates' option in your forums admin area. This will tell you both the version you have running and will check against our servers to let you know if it is the latest stable version.

To backup the forums files you simply download the files using FTP to your own computer. To backup the database depends on what type of database you are using for your forum and what database backup tools your web host supply you.

If you are hosting the forum with us you will fill in a support request asking for your forum to be updated.

If you are not hosting the forum with us you would upgrade it yourself using the documentation on the page below:-

The thing is I dont have time to be learning how to do any of this myself, I just need someone I can pay to take care of these details for me. I dont want this to sound wrong but I have a lot on my plate and dont need more.

So where would I fond someone to take care of these details for me?

I strongly suggest that you host with WEBWIZ. It takes a LOT of pain and work out of things.
Further - if you need a change, fix, or support - it's easier to find someone (there are a couple of forum members who may do such things) to take care of modifications and such as Bruce is SO easy to work with - it makes their jobs easier. He's done things for us I'd consider out of the normal realm of support. No other host would do as much.
If it's a forum thing or a hosting thing, then you simply open a support ticket in your customer area he provides, and it gets dealt with. It's not the cheapest hosting - but it's far more "bang for the buck" as we'd say here, than you get elsewhere. The value is there for what you pay. That peace of mind.
You could go cheap - and then tear your hair out, and pay big bucks for someone to figure it out for you, or do it right.
We've been with WW as a host for maybe 3 years? Something like that. NO REGRETS. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I know I'm a lot less nervous and anxious about keeping it going since we switched. (and we've become the largest most popular automotive forum of it's type according to some)
Being ADHD I'm normally a very hyper, impatient person - Bruce has treated us VERY well and put up with my crazy questions and hyper-personality.  LOL - that alone is worth it.
