Product suggestion.
In the profile, there's a Y/N question:
 Show my Email Address
Hide your email address if you want it to be kept private from other users. |
I've found (and like) that answering "Y" doesn't actually make my email address public. Instead, it enables a feature that allows forum members to send me email from the forum, without revealing my address.
I think its a great feature, but think the question needs to be rephrased to "allow email messages from members", and a description that assures the user that their email address will not be revealed.
It would be a great alternative to PM's for people who don't like to use them. However, the current description will keep people from using/enabling it.
