Its taken a little bit of work but I've finished.
I built a members google map for a phpbb forum awhile ago where you can pin your location and every member can see where you are. ideal for motor forums who like to meet up.
Anyway, the forum im with is on webwiz, Mainly coding in php I found asp a little more challenging but i've managed to intergrate a google map for members.
I would like to turn this into a mod for everyone to use, how do I go about doing this? I take it this has some protacol/procedure to follow.
here is a example.
Below are some screen shots of the members map integrated into the forum.
Firstly, If you are not a registered member, you will not have access to the map.
Under the Members control panel, I have added another tab with the map entry location

Once you have selected the map, you can drag the pin to the location where you want then click the submit button on the left

Once you have done that, your location has been saved and can be viewed in the main members map.
to access the main map, again you have to be registered to view it, select the members locations at the top right of the screen

Once in, You will see all the pins of all members who have selected his or her location.

If you click on a pin, you will see who it is and some nice info.
For example, Username, Avatar, when joined, number of posts and what bike he or she owns.

The next stage will be searching for members, showing members in say 30 mile radius on your location, tooltip hover over pin for names etc.
