New posts not showing

Just lately some new posts are not showing up  also I do not see their IP address   Its kind of hard to explain   one time its replies to a post not showing as new or a new post showing up as a last post but it does not appear in the topics

You mention  IP addresses are not recorded. I am wondering if you upgraded from 10.x or below and did not run the setup wizard to increase the IP address field to accommodate for longer IPv6 address. What version of Web Wiz Forums are you running and is it an upgrade from 10.x or below?

The posts that do not show up are they in the database?

We are still using 9.66     and the IP addresses show up for all most all members    however I have had the same member reply to his post and no IP shows  The thing that bothers me is posts not showing up in the main window but they do in last post   this just started to happen in the last two weeks

Sorry I do not know where you are refering to when you say 'posts not showing up in the main window but they do in last post'?

I'll try and explain   lets say I have a forum topic "General"  and to the right list how many topics  and then how many posts   next it lists the last post "what the title for the post by which member and date and time
If I click on the General topic to show all the posts   that last post is not there and it should be   If I go back and click on the post under the "last post" heading I can open it  There is no IP address on that post  Also have some posts   that show no replies to them when there really are   so not sure what is going on

Have you tried using the post and topic count resyncing tool from the admin area to see if it fixes the issue for you?

I have tried that a couple of times  no change that I can see   I've had a couple of members say they have gotten sql errors when trying to post   So not sure what else I can do at this time   thanks

It sounds like the database has become corrupted.

If you have paid support or hosting with Web Wiz create a support ticket from your client area account with the login details for your database and will have a developer login to the database to fix the corruption issues.
