Can anyone explain how to create the autonumber effect in ms SQL?

It's called indentity, and you set the number it jumps by so set it as 1 if you want, 1,2,3, etc. as your autonumbers.

sorry for being a thicko, by identity do you mean datatype or name of autonumber
