Put a file labeled default.html in the database directory, and copy the source from a file not found error message, then upload the gifs from your comp to the internet to foil database cracking attempts..

I believe the best way is to place you database outside of the root directory.

You could just disable directory browsing.  Then they cannot see anything in a directory.  But, do as 808Rider says, it is the best way.

yup either put the db outside your root dir or if u want to leave it rename it to something unusual that no one can guess its filename.

Placing a default page in this directory would do a thing to protect your database.
