I have a few columns in a db that i want written to an .xls file each day at a certain time. can anyone get me started on how do do this?

Here is a tutorial I have used before and works alright. You just need to have the Office Web Extensions installed.

I guess i don't have the Office Web Extensions installed because i get the following error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01ad'

ActiveX component can't create object: 'Excel.Sheet'

Do you know if there is another way to do it? I don't think that i can get the Office Web Extensions installed (it's like pulling teeth to get them to do anything...).

This may be of some help, I had to create something similar to what you are doing, only it would create a report only every time the admin would visit the page.
