I would love to see WWG create a "Gaming Tournament, Ladder" application kind of like the one over at http://www.pd9soft.com/aspLadder/index.asp.

It is relatively cheap and it is the only ASP application that I can find.  Of course their are a ton done in PHP and what not but that is not good for us Microsoft lovers.  The above script is "good" but the way it was constructed leaves me confused and in my opinion it us un-easily mod'd.

I think it would be great for WWG to produce something similiar and even better.  I would love to be technical consultant on the project if you needed in order to better drive what the application needs to do and what not.

If anyone else would like to build such an application, please e-mail me @ breech@rotsquad.com or ICQ @ 46141867.

I had been working on aspLadder and ported it over to work with 6.34 SQL version.  I will work on porting it over to 7.01.

Now this would be great. seen the one by pd9soft it's a good one, but not to user friendly. i've used the forum from here. loved it, got the newsletter one too. still working on getting that all filled up. and the ladder one would be just perfect. seeing as i have a club that does just that....and of course need to have it customizable to the user. can't just let it stay the default colors....that's to plain to some...

I have done it, I am almost done writing the application.  I wrote it using the Dreamweaver "standards" so it's all accessible and editable through native Dreamweaver.  Which I think will make it a lot easier on the user, whomever they may be.

It's running off an Access db because I do not have access to a server runing SQL Server but I think it should be sufficient enough.

The script was wrote with a specific game in mind but I do think it could work with any game.  It's extremely simple to use and is full customizable without the chance of messing up any of the code.

When I am done, I will post the link here.

This sounds like an good ASP application

Would it be suitable for racket sports like Squash ? I want to publish a Squash ladder. But preferably I want the players to add results themself via a web browser.
